Join us for a morning of storytelling and creativity! We will start with a cozy story time, followed by a hands-on craft activity. But the best part??? We will have a very special, furry guest joining us- a real-life opossum! Come learn why these misunderstood marsupials are actually backyard superheroes!
Enjoy creating traditional Eastern Woodlands pine-needle basket weaving while our adorable educational ambassador skunks are here from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The cost is $30 per person to cover materials and support Awesome Possumz & Skunkz, who will receive 50% of the registration fees. This donation helps to support skunk and opossum rescue and rehabilitation. This includes lifelong care, feeding, enrichment, and veterinary services for the ambassadors.
After the Weaving with Skunks event, there will be a free public skunk education program from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
